Ceramic diffusion coating
The secret behind fibtip lies in the ultrahard surface. The innovative coating increases the hardness to 2000 HV (three times harder than hardened steel, twice as hard as Ni-P coatings) and decreases the tendency for filaments to clog inside the nozzle. The coating is only 1/100 of a mm (10 µm), but it will last a lifetime.
Fibre hardness vs. nozzle
As many filaments contain different kinds of additives such as pigments and fibres, the tip will eventually wear down. This causes a shortening of the entire nozzle,ultimately resulting in the need a replacement.
but.. if you choose fibtip as your printing tip, the nozzle will not experience any wear or decline in printing quality - regardless of the type of filaments used. This is due to the extreme hardness and durability of the ceramic diffusion coating.
Anti-clog & easy-clean
The ceramic coating reduces clogging to a minimum, while making cleaning effortless. The anti-stick properties is an inherent property of the ceramic diffusion coating and does not wear down as other non-stick top coatings do.
In industrial setups, the time between clogging is improved by more than 8x and cleaning can be done with a simple cloth.
